Aisha Ross is the founder of Less is More, a curated vintage collection focused on bringing awareness to sustainable fashion.

We caught up with Aisha to discuss current inspirations, words of wisdom and her everyday must-haves.

Whats in your bag?

A film camera, chapstick, probably at least 2 pairs of sunglasses, my vintage wallet, a fortune, and some dog treats.

Do you have any trips planned?

I'm currently in New York visiting a friend! My boyfriend’s film, Panorama, got in to the Austin Film Festival, so that’s my next trip I have planned. Super excited for him and excited to explore the vintage world in Austin.

Do you have a personal mantra or a quote that you keep going back to?

Less is more ;) I really do stand by this!

Are there any particular creative minds that inspire you?

My friends all really inspire me. They are constantly helping me come up with ideas and bring out the best version of myself. I am so inspired by all of them and I am so lucky to have such a great group of women supporting each other.

Tell us about one of your most cherished objects.

Probably our vintage stereo credenza. I found this on OfferUp for $100, which if you know what these are then you know its a steal! The record player wasn’t working so my boyfriend helped me aka did all the work and fixed it up. We love having records play throughout the house and collecting them. My dad gave me his record collection so this piece is super special to me and it's great to be able to connect through music with friends and family.

What is your favorite place?

I probably have to go with Oahu, Hawaii. I went to college there and it really is such a magical place. I have a lot of great memories there and love visiting old friends and places.

What are some of the most valuable lessons you’ve learned in life or in work?

To trust your gut and to put in the work. Anyone who is skeptical about what I’m doing for work and questioning my career choices has only pushed me and made me more motivated to prove them wrong that I can make a living off this. Doing what you love is extremely important to me while also having a work life balance.

What are you currently working on?

Working on my designs that I’m hoping to get out by next year. This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, so this first collection will be huge for me.

What do you love about your Marie Turnor pieces?

The quality really is next level. I love how timeless they are, and I like to invest in pieces that will last a lifetime. I also love that my MT bags are so versatile and can go with any outfit from day to night.
